Answer: Personally I use them on wet or towel dry hair, and I love them. I don't know about dry hair cause I never tried.

Question: Are these hard to put in with the hook?
Answer: Not really. It just takes practice. It also depends on the sickness of the hair, but it's fairly easy. My daughter is African-American with curly hair and after a couple of times, I was able to use the hook.

Question: You can use it for short hair?
Answer: It is fine to use the longer curlers on shorter hair as the hair will still curl within the curlers. The corkscrew Curlformers create small drop curls which lengthen out curls; the spiral Curlformers which create bigger, bouncier curls which you can brush out to create a more textured look, and the barrel Curlformers create a big wave immediately.

Answer: the curl is the size of the roller you use. Do not use too much hair per curler. Roll while hair is damp, works better.

I have two girls ages 4 and 6. One has very long hair and the other has chin length hair and these work for both of them. They are not hard to learn how to use. Neither of my girls complain when putting them in or taking them out. If they are hard to pull out; just hold the base of the hair and straighten the curler when pulling it out and it slides right off.

I grew up a tomboy (still kind of am), so when it comes to doing my hair, I'm pretty terrible at it. Thus the reason these appealed to me. I was a little annoyed with them at first because my hair kept falling off the hook, but once I got the hang of it, I made quick work of getting them all in my hair. I then just went about my every day stuff around the house until my hair was dry, and VOILA!! I would definitely recommend these. My only concern would be for someone with really thick hair because mine was giving me trouble and it's not really thick.

I’m always skeptical about “easy” curlers but these really are! Easy to put in. Did my daughter’s in about 20 minutes after getting hair wet. Easy to remove without pulling pain. They work and they last! My daughter and I have very thick hair that does not hold curl because of the weight of our hair. These are amazing and worth the investment. Not the most comfortable to sleep in but can be done.
